Tandem Paragliding Experience (Winch)

Extreme Element's Tandem Paragliding Experience is your way to get as close as you possibly can to the ultimate dream of free flight. Flying under the expert control of a BHPA Tandem Paraglider Pilot you will soar high up into the sky!

You will have only your pilot and the birds for company as you take in the breath taking aerial views of the surrounding countryside accompanied by the sweet, sweet sound of silence. This is highly recommended.

Itinerary / Highlights

* Receive a brief for equipment and flight profile
* Soar to eagle heights with the help of a winch
* Enjoy fantastic views as you glide back to earth

Your experience starts with a full briefing on safety procedures, the equipment and a profile of your flight. You will then launch the Paraglider via a winch and be released to enjoy a 2-10 minute flight dependent on thermals and weather conditions.

During this time your instructor may allow you to take the controls or if you prefer just sit back and enjoy the views.

Age restrictions: Minimum age is 14. Under 18's must have parental consent.
Weight Restrictions: Maximum Weight is 90KG (14.2 Stone)
In the interest of your own safety you must give details of any medical condition that may affect your ability. If you are in any doubt, please contact your GP for advice. This price includes £10 BHPA Membership giving you third party insurance cover for the day.

Duration:
You will need to allow from one to three hours for the experience. The paragliding will last approximately 5-10 minutes.

What to Wear / Equipment:
Old clothes are a good idea. A strong pair of boots with ankle support and NO hooks is essential. All other equipment is provided. Bring a jacket and warm clothes in winter and lighter clothing, a hat and sunscreen in summer.

Group Size / Spectators:
Please check if you can bring spectators when booking. The experience may be centre based where there are refreshments, toilets and a viewing area on site or it may be with a mobile provider who will find the best location for that particular days conditions. For safety reasons everyone must keep to designated areas. If you bring dogs please keep them on a short lead.

Weather:
Paragliding is weather dependent. Rain and high winds can affect flying please make sure you contact the centre prior to your flight to check conditions.
