Hang Gliding Course
The course consists of various practical phases. Firstly, you’ll get to grips with your hang glider on a flat piece of land, with your instructor showing you what to do. Following this, you’ll be practicing lifts off a slope, reaching heights of up to 20m. This is so you get used to flying as next you’ll be reaching heights of up to 100m where you will learn how to do turns and read the calculations from a variometre (a vertical speed indicator). Finally, in the last phase of your training, you’ll practice doing independent flights of up to 250m, at a speed of approximately 30km/h, as your instructor guides from the ground with a PTT (push to talk) radio.
